廣東中山，來自農村的年輕工人們正為明年的雨傘訂單趕工。他們日夜工作，如同機器一般重複著單調的動作。他們想讓自己的每一個動作，都能以最快的速度完成，因為只要提高工作效率，就意味著他們在月底能領到更多的薪水。但事實上，這所謂的「更多」，卻仍舊少得可憐。無數的雨傘在他們手中成形、誕生，經過批發、零售，層層進入龐大的商業運作體系之中。這些農工們的付出，如同傘骨一般支撐起整個體系，卻始終見不到雨後的太陽。

Zhongshan, Guangdong Province.  Many young off-farm workers are busy working for orders of next year. They try their best to earn more money; but in fact, even the “more” is rather slim. They have no idea how much an umbrella earns for others. Workers making umbrella, merchants selling umbrellas, students looking for jobs in the rain, the umbrella is used as a metaphor. As the rain falls, what we see is somewhat clear but in the meantime untraceable.
